Green Remodeling or Just Another Word for Saving Money – Home Construction Advice

home improvement No Comments »

http://www.homebuildingandrepairs.com/remodeling/index.html I really don’t have a good explanation for Green remodeling, because I know a lot of people who have been doing it for years. Taking a toilet out of one home, cleaning it up and putting it in another house. When I’m working on someone’s house and they’re paying me to remodel their bathroom or install a room addition on to their home, most of these people don’t want me to reuse the old lumber, so I end up taking it home and using it for firewood. Obviously Green remodeling is going to be big in the future as our natural resources decrease over time. In countries like England they’ve been doing this for quite some time, simply because lumber prices are outrageous. Don’t get carried away with the Green remodeling or green home-building stuff that doesn’t make sense like refinishing certain building products or reusing damaged wood. If I could give anyone a construction tip that simple and easy to use, it’s common sense. Just because someone tells you that this is great or that’s the best way, doesn’t mean that it’s going to be the best way for you.
